State Advocacy Days
State Advocacy Days are our chance to speak directly to our elected officials about topics that are important for the bleeding disorders community, like access to medication and funding for the HTC. The agenda for advocacy days isn't set yet, but please plan for a dinner training on Monday February 10th, and a day at the Capitol the following day. Contact Kyra if you'd like to RSVP.

Medexus- Let’s Chat! Advocating for Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders
Join lifelong advocates Kirstin Drye and Michelle Stielper for an engaging discussion about raising awareness and advocating for women and girls with bleeding disorders—especially among those unfamiliar with these conditions. Living with hemophilia B, Kirstin and Michelle understand the unique challenges women face in obtaining a diagnosis and accessing proper treatment.
This session will cover essential facts, debunk common myths, and offer practical tips for talking about your bleeding disorders with others outside the community. Whether you're new to the topic or have your own questions and stories to share, this is an opportunity to learn how to effectively advocate and educate others.
Together, let’s spread awareness and build a community that supports women and girls with bleeding disorders.
Ohana Education Weekend
One of the Hawai`I Chapter’s foundational events, Ohana Education Weekend is an opportunity for community members from all islands to come together to learn practical, hands-on information about their specific bleeding disorders. This includes new developments pertaining to treatment and research, as well as product updates. This weekend is a carefully-constructed blend of learning activities and social activities, and is one of the few times throughout the year when residents of all islands are together in person.
